My Giant Sandwich Earnings & Upgrade Calculator

Compare one upgrade at a time with numbers from your own session: affordability, payback, session projections, and an offline estimate you calibrate yourself. The tool loads no hidden game rates — everything it computes comes from what you type.

How the math works

Five formulas, no secrets

Every output maps to one line of arithmetic on your inputs.

OutputFormulaHow to read it
Cash shortfallmax(0, upgrade cost − current cash)How much you still need before the purchase is possible.
Time until affordableshortfall ÷ current income per secondHow long the counter must run at your present rate. Blank if you have no income yet.
Income increaserate after − rate beforeThe incremental gain the purchase actually adds — read it from the sandwich info panel.
Upgrade paybackupgrade cost ÷ incremental incomeSeconds until the purchase has earned its own cost back. Shorter is better.
Session projectionrate × online minutesBefore-versus-after earnings across a typical play window.
Offline estimaterate × offline hours × your measured efficiencyOnly appears from the efficiency you measured with the offline-earnings guide — the game publishes no rate.
Worked example

The butter decision, end to end

Uses only documented values: $150 butter, $5/sec bread, $12/sec combined (Clout Brothers session, July 20, 2026).

  1. Step 1 · Inputs

Current cash $95, current income $5/sec (one bread stacked), candidate purchase butter at $150, income after $12/sec (bread plus butter, the documented combo).

  2. Step 2 · Shortfall

    $150 − $95 = $55 short. The calculator shows time until affordable: $55 ÷ $5/sec = 11 seconds of letting the counter run.

  3. Step 3 · Payback

Incremental income is $7/sec, so the butter pays for itself in $150 ÷ $7 ≈ 21 seconds — the fastest purchase in the documented game.

  4. Step 4 · Projection

Over a 30-minute online session, income rises from $9,000 (5/sec) to $21,600 (12/sec) — the upgrade is worth +$12,600 in that window alone.

Where to find your inputs

Your per-second counter shows current income; the sandwich info panel lists each stacked item’s contribution, from +$40 rare bread to +$26,000 legendary hamburger in the checked sessions. Offer screens show the price before you buy. If a candidate adds no income — a pure height play — enter the same rate before and after to see the honest readout: no income gain.

Interpreting the recommendation

“Buy now” means the purchase is affordable and raises income — still check the payback against your session length: a 30-minute payback is pointless if you play for ten. “Save first” quotes the time-to-afford so you can judge the wait. “Compare another” appears when you are short with no income entered, and “no income gain” fires when the after-rate is not higher — the tool telling you the purchase is not an earnings upgrade.

Why player-entered only

My Giant Sandwich publishes no official upgrade table, so any bundled rate would be a guess wearing a spreadsheet. Community anchors — bread $150, butter $150, spinach $615, extra toaster $1,000, extra pan $2,000 — live on the linked guides with their source sessions and can seed your inputs. Calculation runs entirely in your browser; cash and income values are never sent anywhere.

FAQ

Calculator questions

Are the rates official?

No. The tool uses only player-entered values; every documented number on this site is attributed to its session source.

What does payback mean here?

Upgrade cost divided by the income per second the purchase adds — the documented butter example is $150 ÷ $7/sec ≈ 21 seconds.

Where do I find my income number?

Your in-game counter shows income per second, and the sandwich info panel lists each item’s contribution.

Which documented values are good starting inputs?

From the July 2026 sessions: bread $150 at $5/sec, butter $150 raising the combo to $12/sec, spinach $615 at ~$21/sec session income, extra toaster $1,000, extra pan $2,000. Each is attributed on the guides pages — treat them as anchors, then substitute your own board’s numbers.

What if I am comparing a height purchase with no income gain?

Enter the same rate in both income fields. The tool will honestly report “no income gain” instead of inventing a payback — which is the correct read for pure height plays. Judge those by stack pace on the height guide instead, and keep the calculator for purchases that move the counter.

Does the offline estimate use an official rate?

No — the game publishes no offline rate. The projection only appears when you supply the efficiency you measured with the offline-earnings guide’s timed test, so the estimate is exactly as honest as your measurement.
